Privacy Policy

Last updated:

DwellixTools ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website dwellixtools.com. This page explains our privacy practices regarding the processing of data when you use our suite of web tools, calculators, and online utilities. Please also review our Terms of Service.

1. Client-Side First Data Processing

DwellixTools is built with a privacy-first architecture. The vast majority of our online utilities (including calculators, unit converters, code formatters, validators, generators, text editors, PDF tools, and image utilities) process your inputs entirely inside your browser sandbox. Your text, numbers, files, images, or code snippets are never uploaded to, transmitted across, or stored on our web servers.

2. Third-Party Web Services & API Integrations

Certain specialized network, lookup, diagnostic, and webmaster tools may send requests to public third-party APIs or external web services (such as DNS-over-HTTPS providers, domain registries, IP geolocation feeds, temporary mail networks, or video metadata APIs) to retrieve real-time data.

We handle all third-party integrations with strict data minimization:

  • Third-party API requests are executed directly from your browser or proxied via edge endpoints solely to fulfill your real-time query.
  • DwellixTools does not log, record, monitor, or sell your API queries, temporary email messages, network lookups, or search parameters on its own databases.
  • Third-party API providers operate under their respective privacy policies and terms of service.

3. YouTube API Services

Our website may use YouTube API Services to retrieve public video metadata. By using features relying on YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. DwellixTools does not store, access, or share private user data from YouTube API Services.

4. Third-Party Advertising & Monetization (Google AdSense, Adsterra & Partner Networks)

To keep all calculators, coding tools, converters, and utilities on DwellixTools free and accessible to everyone without mandatory subscriptions or paywalls, we display digital advertisements served by third-party advertising vendors and programmatic ad networks, including Google AdSense, Adsterra, and certified programmatic demand partners.

These advertising partners may serve standard IAB display banner ads (such as 728×90 leaderboards, 300×250 medium rectangles, 160×600 skyscrapers, 320×50 mobile banners, and 468×60 banners) and native sponsored content recommendation units.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies: Third-party advertising vendors and ad networks use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies to measure advertising effectiveness, prevent ad fraud, and display advertisements relevant to your interests based on your visits to DwellixTools and other websites across the Internet.

Data Protection & Client-Side Isolation: DwellixTools does not share any user-entered tool data (such as passwords, private calculation inputs, uploaded documents, or code snippets) with advertising networks. Advertisers only receive standard network request data (such as IP address, browser type, device characteristics, and cookie identifiers) strictly necessary to serve and render ad units.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our platform and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or through the third-party consumer choice mechanisms listed below.

Affiliate Relationships & Sponsored Recommendations: Certain tools on DwellixTools include contextual recommendations for trusted privacy, cybersecurity, and productivity services (such as NordVPN, NordPass, or NordLocker). If you choose to purchase a plan or software license through these links, DwellixTools may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. All sponsored outbound links use standard rel="noopener sponsored" attributes in accordance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and search engine publisher standards.

5. Progressive Web App (PWA) & Offline Service Worker

DwellixTools operates a client-side Service Worker (/sw.js) solely to provide Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities and offline reliability.

What the Service Worker Does:

  • Asset Caching: Locally caches static site assets (such as HTML shells, stylesheets, logos, and web icons) in your browser's Cache Storage so you can open and use client-side tools even without an active internet connection.
  • Speed & Performance: Accelerates page load times by serving cached core assets instantly upon repeat visits.
  • Zero Advertising or Push Tracking: Our service worker does not send marketing push notifications, does not display push advertisements, and does not monitor background browser activity.

6. Cookies, Local Storage & Opt-Out Mechanisms

DwellixTools uses browser localStorage solely for functional user preferences (such as remembering your active color theme, saving favorite tools locally, and storing cookie consent selections). No personally identifiable information is stored in local storage.

Our third-party advertising and analytics partners may place and read cookies or similar identifiers on your device to measure campaign performance and prevent fraudulent impressions. You can manage or opt out of personalized interest-based advertising through the following industry resources:

7. Web Analytics & Log Information

We use standard web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics 4) and server access logs to monitor overall traffic trends, popular tools, and technical performance. These services collect basic standard browser info (such as user-agent headers, screen resolution, referring URLs, and anonymized IP data) purely to operate and maintain platform quality.

8. International Privacy Rights (GDPR, UK GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)

Visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions have specific rights regarding their personal data, including the right to request information on data collection, opt out of personalized advertising cookies, or clear local browser storage at any time.

We do not sell or share personal information as traditionally defined, because our tools process data client-side and do not require user account registration. If you wish to exercise any applicable privacy rights or request information regarding third-party data processing, please contact us.

9. Children's Privacy Protection

DwellixTools is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, advertising partnerships, or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
